Jesca Hoop é umas das mais interessantes singer-songwriters dos últimos anos. A sua música é como nadar num lago à noite, disse Tom Waits, de cujos filhos Jesca foi nanny. Nascida na Califórnia no seio de uma família Mormon, Jesca mistura referências folk às mais distintas sonoridades e o resultado é Kismet, um disco de uma excentricidade belíssima. Está em Portugal para três espectáculos em versão acústica.
Pajaro Sunrise é Yuri Mendez. Após homónimo álbum de estreia, de parceria com Pepe Lopez, granjeador de ínumeros elogios e considerado uma das boas revelações em terras vizinhas Yuri regressa com "Done/Undone, uma colecção de 22 canções divididas entre composições em grupo e a solo que reflecte as vivências de um ciclo terminado, "Done", e um novo recheado de expectactivas, "Undone". Um registo intimista de canções descarnadas de belexa desconcertante.

Apresenta agora o mais recente "The Howling Songs" inspirando-se tanto na tradição folk como no cabaret, no drama etílico ou em romanticismos mais ou menos decadentes tranformando histórias aparentemente prosaicas em verdadeiros épicos. O fatalismo oriundo de uma atenta e crítica consciência social subvertem a ilusória inocência do génio. Imperdível.
